What is Chattr Mums?
Chattr Mums is a website that enables you to meet other mums and mums-to-be.
How can I meet people?
When you sign up (giving us your due date or baby's birth date), we'll suggest existing members who are at the same stage of pregnancy or parenthood as you. If you
tell us where you live, we'll also suggest mums who are geographically near you.
As well as our suggestions, you can search for other mums by keyword, due-date proximity or geographical proximity.
What do I do when I've found other mums?
If you accept our suggestions (or if you find your own), you simply 'listen' to them. Then you'll get all of their status updates fed directly into your home page.
As other mums start to 'listen' to you, all of your status updates will be fed into their home pages.
Isn't this like Twitter?
Yes! But we believe being a mum or mum-to-be is special and it's important to connect with people who are going through the ups & downs of pregnancy and parenthood at the same time as you. Finding people who are at that same stage of your pregnancy or parenthood journey just isn't possible on Twitter!
So Chattr Mums is like Twitter, but with stage-based filtering - so all the posts you see are just those from people at the same stage as you, making them must more relevant.
Of course, you don't just have to filter your friends' posts like that. You can filter them by geographical location, topic or indeed leave them unfiltered so you can see everything!
